Terms of service

Welcome to Grazer’s Terms and Conditions of Use (these “Terms”). This is a contract between you and Grazer Holdings Limited (as defined further below) and we want you to know your rights and ours before you use the Grazer application (“App”). Please take a few moments to read these Terms before enjoying the App, because once you access, view or use the App, you are going to be legally bound by them.

1. GRAZER RULES

Before you can use our App, you'll need to register for an account (“Account”).
To create an Account, you must:
  • be at least 18 years old; and
  • be legally permitted to use the App by the laws of your home country.
  • not be located in a country subject to a UK or U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country; and
  • not be in the UK or U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted individuals.
  • not have been convicted of any serious criminal offence, including but not limited to offences relating to violence, harassment, or sexual misconduct. We reserve the right to remove accounts if we believe a user poses a risk to others on the platform.
You can create an Account using your phone number or logging in via Google, Apple, or Facebook – your choice! If you use a login method from a third-party provider, you authorise us to access certain information from your account (like your name). For more info about what we collect and how we use it, check out our Privacy Policy.
We cannot allow you to use another person's Account without permission.
If you ever want to leave Grazer you can delete your Account at any time from your Account dashboard. Deletion hides the Account immediately and we retain the underlying data for 90 days before secure erasure on the lawful bases of legitimate interests (fraud prevention) and legal obligation (audit). During this period the data are stored in encrypted form with access strictly limited.
If we believe you have breached these Terms, used the App in bad faith or pose a risk to other users we may suspend or delete your Account.
If we find that someone under 18 is using the App, their Account will be removed.

2. TYPES OF CONTENT

There are three kinds of content you’ll come across on Grazer:

  1. Content you upload (“Your Content”)
  2. Content other users upload (“Member Content”)
  3. Content created by Grazer Holdings Limited (“Our Content”)

Your Content

We want you to be yourself, but there are a few rules. Your Content can’t include anything that:
  • is offensive, harassing, or hateful
  • is sexually explicit or violent
  • promotes discrimination or illegal activity
  • is defamatory or false
  • is spammy or promotional
  • contains viruses or harmful code
  • violates anyone else’s rights (like copyright or privacy)
  • glorifies or promotes self-harm or eating disorders
  • impersonates another person
Don’t post personal contact details (yours or anyone else’s) in your profile. If you do share sensitive information in messages or elsewhere, it’s at your own risk.
By uploading Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, modify, and share it to operate Grazer. We can share this licence with our affiliates if needed. We can also remove Your Content at any time if we think it breaches these Terms.

Member Content

Other users’ content belongs to them. You don’t have any rights to use it outside Grazer. Don’t harass other users, use their content for commercial purposes, or do anything untoward with their information. If you do, we may delete your Account.
If you see something concerning, please report it using the in-app reporting tools. We review reports and may remove content or accounts at our discretion.

Our Content

Everything else on the App - like logos, text, graphics and design - belongs to us. You’re welcome to use it while you’re on Grazer, but don’t copy, sell, or modify it. We reserve all rights.

3. RESTRICTIONS ON THE APP

Please don't:

  1. break the law
  2. use a fake name or impersonate someone
  3. misrepresent your age or intentions
  4. post false information
  5. interfere with the App or try to access non-public areas
  6. reverse engineer, copy, scrape, or disrupt our systems
  7. operate or promote pyramid schemes, fraud or similar deceptive practices
We rely on users to help keep Grazer safe. If you see bad behaviour, please report it. You can also unmatch users anytime.

4. PRIVACY

For info on how we collect, use and store your personal data (and how to exercise your rights), check out our Privacy Policy.
If you ever want a copy of your data, or to take it somewhere else, you can make a request via the Privacy Policy.
We comply with the UK Age-Appropriate Design Code. Although Grazer is only for adults, we employ reasonable age-gating measures and will promptly remove any under-18 profiles reported to us.

5. USER SAFETY AND LIABILITY

At Grazer, we're committed to creating a kind, respectful community — but your safety is ultimately in your hands. Please read this section carefully, as it explains the limits of our responsibility and your obligations when using the App.
  1. You Are Responsible for Your Interactions. Grazer does not screen users, verify identities, or conduct criminal background checks as a matter of course. While we reserve the right to remove accounts that we believe pose a risk to others, you are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, both online and offline. We do not guarantee the character or conduct of any user. We strongly encourage you to follow our Safety Tips and exercise caution when sharing information or meeting others in person.
  2. Background Checks. Grazer does not perform formal background or criminal checks on its users. Any checks we do conduct are limited, discretionary, and may not be updated or complete. Our lack of verification should not be taken as assurance of a user's identity, background, or safety. Please be aware that some individuals may misrepresent themselves. You should never feel pressured to meet anyone, share personal information, or engage in any interaction that makes you uncomfortable.
  3. Waiver of Liability for User Conduct. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release and hold harmless Grazer Holdings Limited and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns from any claims, demands, losses, damages, or actions of any kind—including but not limited to personal injury, death, emotional distress, or property damage—that arise out of or relate to:
    • Your use of the App
    • Your interactions or communications with other users
    • Any in-person meetings or dates arranged through Grazer
This waiver includes claims arising from our negligence (excluding gross negligence or wilful misconduct) and the conduct of any third party you connect with on or through the App.
  4. Limitation of Liability. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Grazer shall not be liable to you for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
    • Loss of profits
    • Loss of data
    • Loss of goodwill
    • Personal injury or property damage
    • Costs arising from legal proceedings or third-party claims
These limitations reflect a fair allocation of risk and are an essential basis of our agreement to provide you access to the App. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory rights you may have, including rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 in relation to the provision of digital services with reasonable care and skill, or liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to the paragraph above, our aggregate liability to you arising out of or relating to the App (however caused and under any theory of liability) will not exceed £100. This cap does not apply to any liability we cannot limit by law.
  5. California Residents. If you are a resident of California, you specifically waive the protections of California Civil Code Section 1542, which states: "A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in their favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known, would have materially affected their decision."
  6. Your Indemnity Obligations. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Grazer Holdings Limited and its affiliates from any and all claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from or relating to:
    • Your use of the App
    • Your content or messages
    • Your breach of these Terms
    • Your violation of any law or third-party rights
    • Your conduct in any interaction arranged through Grazer
We reserve the right to assume control of any matter subject to indemnification and you agree to cooperate with us in doing so. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions may give you additional consumer rights which these Terms cannot override.

6. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS & LOCATION FEATURES

When you install the App you are asked if you wish to receive push notifications. Marketing notifications are disabled by default and will only be enabled if you give explicit consent. You can change your preferences in the system settings at any time.
If you allow location services Grazer uses your device location to calculate distances and suggest nearby matches. If you disable or approximate location some features may be inaccurate or unavailable until location is re-enabled.

7. DISCLAIMER

The App is provided "as is" — no guarantees. We can’t promise it will always work perfectly or that the content is 100% accurate. You use it at your own risk.
We’re not liable for any damages, losses, or issues that come from using the App. If you're unhappy, your only remedy is to stop using it.
You’re responsible for your interactions with others, so use your best judgement when chatting or meeting up.

8. SAFETY TIPS

We’re committed to making Grazer a kind, respectful space for everyone. We review reports to help keep the community safe and ensure everyone follows our Terms and Conditions.
You also play an important role in helping keep Grazer safe. If someone’s behaviour makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, you can unmatch, block, or report them at any time. All reports are reviewed, and the person you report won’t be notified.
Visit our Safety Tips for more information.

9. TAKEDOWN REQUESTS

Grazer Holdings Limited complies with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe material on Grazer infringes your copyright, email a notice to feedback@grazerapp.com. Your notice must include your signature, a description of the copyrighted work, the location of the allegedly infringing material, your contact details and a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorised. We will remove or disable access to the content promptly and may terminate repeat infringers.

10. PAID SERVICES & APP STORES

Grazer is distributed through third-party app stores such as the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (“App Stores”). By downloading Grazer you also agree to each App Store’s terms. Grazer Holdings Limited, and not the App Stores, is solely responsible for the App and its content. The App Stores have no obligation to provide maintenance or support. To the maximum extent allowed by law, the App Stores give no warranty regarding the App, and any claims, losses or liabilities arising from the App are Grazer’s responsibility alone, including product-liability claims, failure to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and intellectual-property infringement. The App Stores and their subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you once you accept these Terms.
Grazer may offer optional paid features or subscription plans (“Premium Services”). If you choose to purchase Premium Services, the following terms apply:
  1. Billing & Payment Channel. Premium Services are billed through the App Stores. Your purchase is subject to the applicable store’s payment terms and conditions. We do not process or store your payment card details.
  2. Auto-Renewal & Authorisation. Premium Services are generally offered on an auto-renewing basis. By starting a subscription, you authorise the App Store to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your App Store account settings. Deleting your Grazer account or app does not cancel your subscription. If you cancel, you will continue to have access to Premium Services until the end of your current billing period.
  3. Regional Pricing, Promotions & Tests. We operate internationally and may vary pricing, bundles, eligibility for trials, and promotional offers by region, tenure, or other factors. We may run limited-time tests of features or payment options.
  4. Free Trials. If you start a free trial and do not cancel before the trial ends, your plan converts to a paid, auto-renewing subscription at the then-current price. Unless we state otherwise, free trials are limited to one per user. We may withdraw or decline trials in cases of misuse or ineligibility.
  5. Refunds & Withdrawal Rights. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law or by the App Store. If you are based in the UK or EU, you may have a legal right to a 14-day withdrawal period for digital subscriptions; by accessing Premium Services immediately you acknowledge that this right is waived once the service is delivered in full. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact the relevant App Store directly. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
  6. Additional US and Other Jurisdictions. In certain US states you may cancel a new subscription without penalty within three business days of purchase, and in the event of death or disability you (or your estate) may be entitled to a prorated refund for the unused period, where required by law. Where purchases were made via Apple or Google, refunds are administered by that store. Store policies may also provide cooling-off periods outside the UK/EU; please see the store’s help pages for details.
  7. Price Changes. We may change the price of Premium Services from time to time. Price changes will not affect your current billing period but will apply at the next renewal. If we change prices, we will give you notice and the option to cancel before the change takes effect. Continuing the subscription after the new price applies means you agree to pay the updated amount.
  8. Failed Payments & Chargebacks. We may suspend or restrict access to Premium Services for failed payments or chargebacks, and we may limit future purchases to prevent fraud or abuse. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have.
  9. Taxes. Prices may exclude VAT, GST, sales or similar taxes (“Taxes”) unless stated otherwise. Where legally required, Taxes will be charged by the applicable App Store at checkout. If Taxes were due but not collected, you are responsible for such Taxes and any applicable interest or penalties.

11. TERMINATION & REMEDIES

These Terms continue until ended by you or us.
Your choice. You can delete your Account at any time from your Account dashboard. Deleting your Account does not cancel any active subscription bought via an App Store; you must cancel in the App Store settings to stop future billing.
Our remedies. If we determine you have breached these Terms, used the App in bad faith, or pose a risk to others, we may, without refund:
  • warn you;
  • remove or restrict Your Content;
  • limit features or suspend/terminate your Account;
  • discontinue or restrict Premium Services;
  • block transactions or access to certain features; and/or
  • cooperate with law enforcement where required by law.
Effect of termination. Termination includes removal of access to your Account and associated content. Your information will be maintained and deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Survival. Sections concerning ownership and licences, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, payment obligations, dispute resolution, and this Survival clause continue after termination.

12. DISPUTES, COMPLAINTS & ADR

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising under them, unless the laws of your country of residence require otherwise.
If you have a complaint, please contact us at feedback@grazerapp.com and we’ll try to resolve it directly with you. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) process. We are not obliged to agree to ADR in every case, but will consider it where appropriate. This does not affect your right to bring a claim in court.

13. MISCELLANEOUS

You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to U.S. embargo and are not on any U.S. Government restricted parties list.
We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms. If the transfer materially affects your rights we will provide reasonable notice and ensure the assignee honours our existing privacy commitments. You may not transfer your rights or obligations without our consent.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post changes here and update the Effective Date. For material changes we will also notify you in the App. Continuing to use the App after the change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in force. We may introduce new features or paid services in future and will tell you about any changes before launch. We may also update, remove or add login options provided at least one method remains available.
